The Arizona Wildcats are the number one team in the country. Arizona is a perfect 20-0 entering this big Pac-12 game. The Wildcats have been tested on the road at San Diego State and UCLA. Sean Miller’s team appears ready to lock in a number one seed in the Big Dance, but they still have lots of work to do in the difficult Pac-12. Stanford will be very fired up for this huge home contest on national television. Can the Cardinal pull off an upset?
The 2014 college football calendar year officially kicks off with the first of the BCS bowl games. The Stanford Cardinal and the Michigan State Spartans both pull off upsets to reach the Rose Bowl, and they are going to be facing off with each other in the Granddaddy of them All.
It’s going to be a Big Wednesday match-up as the Connecticut Huskies are hosting the Stanford Cardinal in the XL Center at 9:00 ET on ESPN2. Connecticut is ranked 10th and riding high off its 9-0 record that includes a win over the 15th ranked Florida Gators while Stanford enters this contest 7-2 and facing its first ranked opponent of the season.
A bid to the Rose Bowl is on the line for the Stanford Cardinal and the Arizona State Sun Devils, and in all likelihood, it will be that the winner goes to the Granddaddy of Them All, while the loser is kicked out of the BCS bowl games altogether.

The PAC 12 has been a pretty good football conference the last few years. Oregon has become the beast of the conference. Stanford is quickly on the rise and the Cardinal cost the Ducks a chance at playing for a BCS title last year. USC isn’t quite as strong as normal, but they always have tons of talent. Oregon State and Arizona State are all on the rise. This conference is much more wide open this year than it has been in the past.
