It trails the Los Angeles Lakers by one game in the standings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but a win in this game coupled with a Lakers’ loss to Houston on Wednesday night would land the Utah Jazz in the postseason based on a head-to-head tie-breaker.

The Utah Jazz have been passed up by the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference standings. If Utah is going to have any chance at a playoff run, they’ll have to kick it into gear very soon. Oklahoma City is 28-4 at home this year, so the Jazz will have their work cut out for them Wednesday night in Oklahoma City. Utah beat the Thunder last month, but that game was in Salt Lake City. The task will be much tougher this time around.

Carmelo Anthony went down with a knee injury in Monday’s game against Cleveland, and he hasn’t played in the Knicks last three games. Anthony is listed as questionable for this one, and he will likely be a gametime decision. Utah is currently in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but the Lakers are quickly closing in on them. Can Utah put it back together and stay on top in the playoff hunt? The Jazz are just 10-21 on the road this year.

Boston will try and wrap-up its current five-game road trip on a winning note after losing three of the first four games away from home. This past Sunday, it lost to Portland 92-86 as a two-point underdog. It is now 2-4 both straight-up and against the spread in its last six games and 29-27 SU (23-30-3 ATS) overall.

Oklahoma City extended its current winning streak to four games with Sunday’s 97-69 thrashing of Phoenix as an 8.5-point road favorite. The total stayed UNDER the 205-point line after going OVER in four of its previous five games. The Thunder are now 39-12 straight-up overall and a very profitable 31-18-2 against the spread. They have gone 16-9 SU on the road this season and 13-10-2 ATS.
