Toronto Raptors at Cleveland Cavaliers Pick and Preview
NBA Betting Preview
Toronto Raptors (8-11) at Cleveland Cavaliers (17-3)
Tuesday, 7:05 pm Eastern – NBA-TV
SBG Global Opening Line: Cavaliers - 11 , Total 194
The red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers will try and make a little history on Tuesday as they host the Toronto Raptors. The Cavaliers have won their last eight games by 12 points or more and can break the all-time NBA record if they blow out Toronto on Tuesday. They are tied with the 2007-2008 Houston Rockets who also won eight in a row by at least 12 points. “We take pride in trying to build big leads,” said Cleveland’s LeBron James.
The Cavaliers are winning with defense, allowing a league low 90.2 points per game. “Teams are having a hard time scoring on us, on the road and at home,” said center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, “Get a lot of steals, contest all the shots, limit them to one shot and off to the races. We’ve been playing good basketball.” SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Cavaliers at Home.
The offense for Cleveland is in good hands with LeBron James who is finally getting a little rest this season since the Cavaliers have been blowing teams out. He sat out the fourth quarter in the Cavaliers win on Saturday against Charlotte but he still is second in the league in scoring.
The Raptors are still winless under interim head coach Jay Triano who took over from Sam Mitchell last Wednesday. They were blown out at Utah on Friday and lost a close one to Portland on Sunday. “We felt we deserved to win, it’s not we felt we got outplayed,” said center Jermaine O’Neal, “We felt like we played pretty good for the most part and just couldn’t get that last rebound.”
It won’t be easy for Toronto on Tuesday as they have lost their last seven games in Cleveland. LeBron has averaged 34 points in his last three games against Toronto. Here are the NBA betting stats for Tuesday’s game. The Raptors are 7-15 ATS in their last 22 road games. The Raptors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Tuesday games.
