Utah Jazz at Denver Nuggets
Tuesday night the Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz tip off their respective seasons and for the time being Carmelo Anthony will still be in a Denver Nuggets uniform. The latest line for this game posted by Diamond Sports International (DSI) has the Denver Nuggets as three point favorites in this opener.
Ever since LeBron James became the most hyped free agent in NBA history, Carmelo Anthony has been looking to get traded. In recent weeks both the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls were said to be the top teams vying for his service. Although the rumors continue, there is no deal yet set in place.
Utah spent the off season by losing one of their best players when Carlos Boozer left to sign with the improving Chicago Bulls. The Jazz did not sit back and instead pulled off a steal of a deal and grabbed Al Jefferson from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Jazz are a much better team with Jefferson in the lineup and it will show tonight.
The Jazz are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in the last five meetings and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5. The Nuggets are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5 and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference. The Jazz have the better team in this game and the three points are a gift. Take the three points and get the easy win as the Utah Jazz beat the disgruntled Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets.
Play: Jazz +3
