WagerWeb Takes Over Legends Sports Accounts
Legends sportsbook is reportedly in trouble and their expansive client base may not have anywhere to turn without paying a hefty rollover price. Recent indictments handed down in over the last few weeks have Legends sportsbook reeling. This long established sportsbook had a long lasting tradition of being one of the best sportsbooks in a very competitive market, but in a blink of an eye all of that has gone by the wayside. In fact the United States government is attempting to claim $1 billion in assets and monies from the once proud sports book known as Legends. In an attempt to make amends, WagerWeb is offering to take over the remaining clients and transfer all balances.
Here is the official letter sent to all customers from Legends Sports:
Due to recent events surrounding Legends Sports’ gaming license being revoked in Panama, Legends has ceased accepting wagers at this time.
After careful consideration WagerWeb Sportsbook and Casino has agreed to give players from Legends a new home with their full balance intact. This is a huge undertaking, and as such we ask that players be patient and understanding as we accommodate every one of our new clients. WagerWeb will be assuming responsibility for all accounts both funded and non-funded. Wagerweb will be requiring all pass through accounts with a balance fulfill a maximum 5X (Rollover of their balance) before any funds can be withdrawn.
WagerWeb has agreed to assist Legends customers for the good of the industry, as well as the well being of all Legends customers. WagerWeb will be calling out to all Legends customers and will be providing Customer Service to ensure the transition to WagerWeb goes smoothly and without incident. Wagerweb has always been a Sportbook that caterers to the recreational player and as such will be upholding the terms and conditions WagerWeb currently has listed on the Website. All WagerWeb Terms and Conditions and/or Rules must be agreed to prior to any wager taken place. Please contact WagerWeb directly with any questions and concerns.
WagerWeb looks forward to providing you with a stable wagering environment, and outstanding Customer Service.
While some may see this as a good well effort by Legends and WagerWeb, this may not be the case as there is a ten time rollover associated with any transfer. With that being said it would seem that WagerWeb wanted some insurance with this transfer. Before any Legends customer can remove their money they will be levied a 5 time rollover. This would mean the customer would have to wager this entire balance (5X) before getting a payout. Those customers are in shock from watching Legends crumble and now will have to wait to see any more money based on a rollover. WagerWeb should be commended for taking over the outstanding balances, but the rollover needs be lowered.
