Pointspread: Stanford -7.5
Total Line: 52.5
The Huskies have a golden opportunity to not only take a major leap in the rankings with an upset this Saturday night, but a chance to establish themselves as legitimate title contenders in the very tough North Division of the Pac-12. Through their first four games Washington has shown signs that it is up for the task by beating everyone in its path by a combined 116 points while going 3-1 against the spread. The total has stayed UNDER in three of the four games.
If they are going to pull off the upset the Huskies will need another huge effort from rushing attack that is averaging 288.8 yards a game. Bishop Sankey has led the way with 607 yards on just 104 carries with five of them going for scores. Washington also brings a rock solid defense into this matchup that is currently ranked fourth in the nation in average points allowed (10.8).
Stanford has already been tested this season with games against Arizona State and Washington State and it has passed with flying colors by rolling-up 97 combined points against these two conference foes on its way to a perfect 4-0 SU start. The Cardinal are 2-2 ATS after failing to cover as heavy favorites against San Jose State and Army in their first two games. The total has gone OVER in their last three outings.
This is another team that likes to run the ball behind both Tyler Gaffney and Anthony Wilkerson. These two have combined for 568 yards and six scores. Quarterback Kevin Hogan may not put up the biggest numbers each week, but he does have 10 touchdown throws on the year. Stanford’s bend but do not break defense is allowing 19.5 points a game, but more importantly, it continues to make plays when it needs to the most.

Stanford comes into this showdown with plenty of different reasons to want to win this game, but revenge remains at the top of the list. The Huskies ended its shot at a BSC title run last season in a 17-13 loss as a seven-point road favorite. The Cardinal are 6-2 SU and 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings and they get back to their winning way in this rivalry on Saturday night.
